Hold it in your palm and rub it with your thumb. The repetitive motion is the practice; there is nothing more complicated to it.

Dalmatian jasper's traditional associations are with loyalty and lasting connection, which makes it one of the few stones that reads better as a pair than as a single. Keeping one and giving the other to the person it made you think of is an old and rather good use for it — and the spot patterns being unique means the two are visibly a set without being identical.

What is a comfort stone?
A smooth, oval stone with a slight indentation, also called a thumb stone or worry stone. It is made to be held in the palm and rubbed with the thumb — the repetitive motion is naturally calming, which makes it a useful object to reach for in a stressful moment.
What are the black spots?
Natural dark mineral inclusions in the stone. The pattern is different in every piece, which is where the name comes from.
Which chakras is it linked with?
The root and sacral chakras, in traditional practice.
Will my stone look like the photographs?
Similar in size and character, but the spot pattern will be its own. That variation is the defining feature of the stone.
