What is actually in the bottle

A condition oil is a carrier oil — usually a light, near-scentless vegetable oil — infused with botanicals, resins and roots chosen for what they traditionally represent: basil and cinnamon in money blends, calendula in healing work, dragon’s blood resin for protection and force. Loose plant matter floating in the bottle is normal and is a sign the blend was infused rather than simply perfumed. How to dress a candle, step by step

  1. Say plainly what the work is for. One sentence, out loud, in your own words.
  2. Put two or three drops of oil on your fingertips — not a pool in your palm.
  3. Rub the oil along the candle. Base toward the wick to draw something in; wick down toward the base to send something off.
  4. For a glass-encased vigil candle, make a few small holes in the surface of the wax with a skewer first so the oil can sink in, then add the drops.
  5. Wipe your hands, wipe the rim, and light it on a heat-safe surface away from anything that can catch.
  6. Stay with it. Never leave a dressed candle burning unattended — oil makes wax burn livelier than it does plain.

The same gesture works without a candle. A drop on a doorframe, on a wallet, on the back of a phone, or on a written petition folded and kept in a pocket is a complete piece of work.

Skin safety, storage, and what an oil cannot do

These blends are made for candles and objects first. If you want to wear one, patch-test a single drop on your inner forearm and wait a full day before going further; keep all of them away from eyes, lips and broken skin, and ask your own doctor before using anything scented during pregnancy or on children. Store bottles capped, upright, cool and out of sunlight, and expect one to two years of life from a carrier oil — a rancid smell means it is finished. And the part every honest seller owes you: a ritual oil is not medicine, it does not treat any condition, it cannot override another person’s will, and nothing on this page is a promise of an outcome.
