Desk and workspace: chosen for where it lives
The admission test for this page is simple: the product text names the desk, the office or the workspace. Sorted that way, a desk asks for four different things — something to hold, something to clear the air, a light to work beside and one object for the eye to land on — and knowing which one you are after makes the choice quick.
Something to hold
The cheapest pieces here and the ones you actually touch. Three stone sets cost $8.99 each: The Calm Trio of amethyst, apatite and howlite, kept “in a pocket or on the desk”; The Abundance Trio, whose maker says to put the pyrite “beside your wallet, your card reader, the desk where you send invoices”; and the Triple Protection Trio, for weeks that demand a lot of you. The Smoky Quartz pocket stone ($4.95) and the Yellow Aragonite pocket stone ($6.95, 20–30 mm) are single stones; the aragonite’s maker calls it a poor choice for a launch and a good one “for week seven, when the novelty has gone and the work is still there”. Three further comfort and tumbled stones on this page are sold out at the moment. Two oils come in 1/2 oz twist-top bottles that live in a desk drawer: Money Magnet Spell Oil and Manifestation Spell Oil (sandalwood and amber, a dab on the wrists “before work that matters”), $8.99 each.
Clearing the air without smoke
This is where a desk differs from an altar. The Palo Santo Smudge Spray ($23.95) was built for “a rental with a smoke alarm two feet from the altar, an office, a room with a bird in it”, and the Protection Spray ($23.95) comes in a bottle sized for a bag or a desk drawer, smoke-free for rentals and offices. Three 2 oz mists cost $8.99: the Selenite Aura Cleansing Mist (white tea and ginger) for a mid-day reset, the Money Mist (bay leaf and cinnamon, limited edition) to open a work session, and the Road Opener Mist before meetings. The Prosperity Smudge Spray ($17.99) refreshes a desk at the start of the working week, and the 4 oz Evil Eye Protection Spray ($17.99) works the air above a workspace. Where you work from home with a window, smoke is an option: Lemon Tao incense ($18.95, about an hour a stick) is “the most useful at a desk”, Citronella Palo Santo (30 sticks, from $57.95) is for a study or home office in the morning, and the Palmarosa in the Patagonia collection ($24.95) is meant to be burned while you work. Set them in the three-inch Eve holder (from $34.95), the hand-painted Lalita evil eye holder ($27.99) or the ceramic smudge bowl ($31.95).
A light to work beside
Crystal lamps give a soft, low-glare light rather than a reading beam, so treat them as the second light on the desk. The Healing Lamp in clear quartz ($39.95) is “steady enough to work beside” for late work or reading. The Selenite Cleansing Lamp ($49.95, two for $79.95) is a focus light after sundown and charges stones laid around its base overnight. The Citrine Halo Lamp ($79.95) dims from low for reflection to higher for working hours; its maker’s tip is to switch it on at the start of a working block and off at the end. For a soot-free flame, the refillable Gemini and Virgo oil candles (from $25.95 for 3 oz) suit a desk as easily as an altar, on a level, heatproof surface.
Something for the eye to land on
At a working desk, footprint matters more than grade, and one to four inches is the range that stays out of the way. The smallest is the carved Crystal Cauldron at 1.18 inches ($19.95), which doubles as a sphere stand; then the Crystal Snakes (about 2 inches, $18.95), the Rainbow Fluorite Point ($14.95), the Purple Fluorite Skull (2.75 inches, $73.95), “small enough for a desk”, the Flower Agate Tower (3.25–4 inches, $24.95) for a desk corner, and the Crystal Obelisk Towers in 4–5, 5–6 and 7–8 cm (from $17.95). The Golden Healer obelisk (3 to 3.75 inches, from $24.95) asks for “the end of a desk” rather than a display corner. Can I burn incense at my desk?
Only where you can open a window and no smoke detector is close by, which rules out most offices. That is why sprays outnumber incense on this page: the palo santo and protection sprays are made for offices and rentals. At home, lemon or citronella sticks suit a morning at the desk; never leave one burning unattended.
What size crystal works on a desk?
Roughly one to four inches. The cauldron is 1.18 inches, the snakes about two, the fluorite skull 2.75, the agate tower 3.25 to 4. Anything larger starts competing with the work; set it at the end of the desk or in your eyeline, not in the space you write in.
Which crystals are traditionally kept on a desk for focus?
Fluorite, ice quartz, arfvedsonite and yellow aragonite are the ones our makers place at a desk for study, planning and long stretches of work; pyrite and citrine are kept where money is handled. These are traditions of association, not effects.
Can I use a cleansing spray in a shared office?

Is a crystal lamp bright enough to work by?
