How to use it

For personal work: mist once above your head and let it fall, rather than spraying toward your face.

For a room: work the corners, then the doorway, then the threshold you actually walk through. Corners first is the traditional order and it keeps you from chasing anything into the room.

Use it as the opening step in ritual — clear the space, set up the altar, then light the candle. Sequence matters more than quantity.

Keep it in the bag for reactive use: before a hard conversation, after a crowded train, on the way out of a hospital or a courthouse.

Most people mist the middle of the room, which is the one place nothing collects. Working corner to corner and finishing at the threshold gives the pass a direction, and a pass with a direction is the difference between clearing a room and scenting one.
Questions we get asked
Is this a substitute for burning sage?
It does the same job without smoke, which makes it the workable option for rentals, offices, asthma, and homes with birds. Whether it replaces smoke in your practice is your call.
How often can I use it?
As often as the moment calls for. Many people use it once at the start of ritual work and reactively through the week.
Will it mark surfaces?
It contains essential oils, so avoid misting directly onto polished or porous surfaces. Spray into the air rather than at the furniture.
Is it safe around pets?
Essential oils affect animals differently than people, and birds are particularly sensitive to airborne compounds. Ventilate, and keep it away from pets that react.
Why does the scent vary between bottles?
It is made in small batches from botanical material, which is never identical run to run. Variation is a property of small-batch production rather than a fault.
