How to choose a candle spell booster pack
A booster pack is not a spell — it is what you add to one. Parlour of Wonders builds these for the point where a candle spell kit is set up on the altar and you want more weight in it: four more candles, a second consecrated oil, two herbs, a stone, a petition paper. All twenty-two are made by hand in the same workshop from 100% pure beeswax with lead-free cotton wicks, and all twenty-two cost $33.95, which removes price from the decision entirely. What is left is the intention. If you do not yet own a kit, start in Candle Spell Kits; if you have never worked a candle spell at all, candle magic for beginners comes before either.
The colors repeat — buy the intention, not the wax
Twenty-two packs, nine candle colors, so if you are shopping by the picture, six of these look alike. Blue alone carries six intentions: Healing (Holy Healing oil), Tranquility (Peace and Tranquility oil), Reconciliation (Sweet Reconciliation oil), Intuition (Psychic Eye oil), Communication (Talk to Me oil) and Renewal (Release and Restore oil). Red carries Fast Results (Instant Gratification oil), Attraction (Magnetic Attraction oil) and Passion (Fire of Desire oil). Yellow carries Triumph (Grand Success oil), Optimism (Joie De Vivre oil) and Spotlight (Fame and Fortune oil).
Purple, white, black and orange appear twice each: Influence (Upper Hand oil) and Empowerment (Absolute Power oil) in purple; Cleansing (Energetic Purification oil) and Miracles (Bountiful Blessings oil) in white; Protection (Powerful Protection oil) and Banishing (Banishing oil) in black; Breakthroughs (Block Buster oil) and Road Opener (Open Roads oil) in orange. Two colors appear once: Romance (Soul Mate oil) is the only pink pack and Commitment (Faithful Marriage oil) the only brown one. The named oil is the sharper identifier at the moment of buying; the color follows the traditional correspondences that candle color meanings sets out, and black candle meaning explains why two very different packs, Protection and Banishing, share the same wax.
What is in the box, and the two packs that differ
Every pack holds four thick beeswax taper candles in its color, two ritual herbs, one consecrated oil infused with real botanicals and essential oils, a tumbled gemstone, real glass glitter, a premium petition paper and printed instructions. Two exceptions are worth knowing before you order. The Attraction pack ships a lodestone instead of a tumbled gemstone — deliberate rather than a substitution, because the lodestone is the traditional drawing stone in this kind of work. And the Romance pack is the one listing that names its stone, a moonstone, where the other twenty say only that a tumbled gemstone is included. The petition paper and the oil are the two elements people most often improvise badly: how to write a petition paper and how to dress a candle with oil are the two reads that make a booster worth its price, and beeswax versus paraffin explains why these tapers burn the way they do.
Which pack for which job
Grouped by the working they are usually laid on, since that is how people actually shop. Love and relationships: Romance for tenderness rather than pull, Passion for the opposite, Attraction for drawing something toward you, Commitment for vows and handfastings, Reconciliation for mending a bond, and Communication when the words between two people have stopped. Love spells and consent is the honest reading before any of the six goes on a love kit. Money, career and momentum: Spotlight when nobody has noticed yet, Triumph for a decided outcome, Influence and Empowerment for negotiations and boundaries, Road Opener and Breakthroughs for a working that has stalled, and Fast Results for timing alone. Road opener or money candle settles the question people most often get backwards. Clearing and defense: Cleansing, Protection and Banishing — and the order matters, which uncrossing, banishing or protection: which comes first explains and when banishing is the wrong tool qualifies. Inner work: Healing for rest and repair, Renewal for putting something down first, Tranquility to keep an intense working from tipping into anxiety, Optimism when the mood around an intention has gone flat, Intuition when the work needs guidance rather than force, and Miracles for the workings where you want to stop forcing the outcome. All twenty-two are in stock as this page was last checked; anything that goes out of stock will be named here rather than dropped.
Matching a booster to a kit
The booster does not have to match the kit's color, and usually should not. You are adding a second intention on top of the first: Road Opener under a prosperity working such as The Empress kit clears the path to the money; Fast Results under a stalled Lovers kit pushes on timing rather than on the feeling; Spotlight sits naturally on the Fortuna kit, Breakthroughs on The Fool, and Cleansing is the one most often used first of all — on a seasonal kit like the Winter Solstice kit, protection and new-beginnings work both go better on clean ground. The combinations worth avoiding are the contradictory ones: a Banishing booster stacked on a Reconciliation kit asks for two opposite outcomes in one working. Pick the one you actually want. Because a booster puts four extra tapers on the altar, it also turns a single-sitting kit into a multi-day one — best time for a spell and how long a spell takes to work cover the timing that follows. Spare tapers and figures in the same beeswax sit in Beeswax Spell Candles; the wider candle range is in Ritual Candles.
Working one in
Set the kit up first, then add the booster before lighting: dress the tapers with the booster oil, work in the herbs and a pinch of glitter, write the petition, set the stone. Keep the stone when the candles are done; it is meant to carry on as a talisman. Because a booster puts four extra dressed tapers on the altar at once, treat the fire seriously — level heatproof surface, herbs and paper clear of the flames, oil on the wax rather than on the wick, nothing left burning unattended or overnight. Why a candle burns black answers the question people ask mid-burn, and leftover candle wax after a ritual deals with what four tapers leave behind. These packs are traditionally used to add focus and ceremony to candle work; any effect beyond that is not scientifically established, and none of it replaces medical, legal or financial advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is a booster pack a spell kit?
No. A booster pack has no figural candle and no ritual of its own — it is a second layer you add to a candle spell you have already set up. It contains four thick beeswax taper candles, two ritual herbs, a consecrated oil, a stone, glass glitter and a petition paper. If you have never worked a candle spell before, buy a Candle Spell Kit first; the booster is what you reach for on the second or third working.
Which pack do I choose — do I match the intention or the color?
Match the intention, not the color. There are twenty-two intentions but only nine candle colors, so the colors repeat: six different packs are blue (Healing, Tranquility, Reconciliation, Intuition, Communication, Renewal), three are red, three are yellow, two each are purple, white, black and orange, one is pink and one is brown. Color alone will not tell you which pack you are holding. The named oil is the more reliable signal — Holy Healing, Open Roads, Block Buster, Upper Hand, Instant Gratification.
Can I use a booster with a candle spell kit of a different color?
Yes, and it is the usual case. The booster is a layer of intention, not a color match. A Road Opener booster with its orange tapers works perfectly well alongside a green prosperity kit; you are adding path-clearing to money work, not repainting the spell. Where the two intentions genuinely conflict — a Banishing booster on a Reconciliation kit — choose one and drop the other.
What is actually in the box?
Four handcrafted beeswax thick taper candles in the pack's color, two ritual herbs and botanicals, one consecrated oil infused with real botanicals and essential oils, a premium petition paper, a tumbled gemstone, real glass glitter and printed step-by-step instructions. Two packs differ: the Attraction booster ships a lodestone rather than a tumbled gemstone, which is deliberate — a lodestone is the traditional drawing stone — and the Romance booster names its stone, a moonstone, where the others do not.
When in the ritual do I add the booster?
Before you light anything. Set the kit up as you normally would, then dress the tapers with the booster oil, add the herbs and a pinch of the glitter, write your petition on the paper supplied, and place the stone where it will sit through the whole working. The printed instructions give the order. Keep the stone afterwards — it is meant to stay with you once the candles have burned down.
Are these safe to burn, and what should I not expect?
They are 100% pure beeswax with lead-free cotton wicks, but four dressed tapers burning together is more open flame than a single candle. Burn them on a level heatproof surface clear of the herbs and paper, keep oil off the wick itself, and never leave them unattended or asleep. Booster packs are traditionally used for focus and ceremony in candle work; any effect beyond that is not scientifically established, and nothing here replaces medical, legal or financial advice.
