At a glance
-
Scent: lemon — bright, clean citrus
- Premium Tao line
-
Approximately 60 minutes per stick, extinguish and relight for multiple burns
- Handmade, hand-rolled, hand-packaged

How to use it
-
Burn it in the morning. Citrus flattens by evening and reads thin against low light.
-
Use it where you work. It is the least meditative scent in the cabinet and the most useful at a desk.
-
Open a window while it burns — bright notes carry better through moving air than through still air.
-
Follow a clearing session with it when you want the room to feel finished rather than merely emptied.

✨ Temple Tip — citrus is a morning scent
Bright notes are volatile — they lift fast and fade fast, which is exactly what you want at eight in the morning and exactly wrong at ten at night. Keep lemon for the start of the day and sandalwood for the end of it, and neither will feel like the wrong choice.
Questions we get asked
How does it compare to the Sandalwood Tao?
They are opposite ends of the same line. Lemon is bright, energizing and suits mornings and workspaces; sandalwood is warm, woody and suits evenings and meditation.
How long does a stick burn?
Approximately sixty minutes, and it can be extinguished and relit for shorter sessions.
