Every altar accumulates small things with no home — a ring you take off to wash up, a tumbled stone from a pocket, a pinch of herbs left over from a working. A cauldron is where those things go.
This one is carved from a single piece of stone at 1.18 inches tall, with the two handles and the low belly of a proper cauldron. It also works as a stand for a crystal sphere, which is the reason most people end up buying a second one.
At a glance
- 1 piece, carved from natural stone
- Stones available: opalite, strawberry quartz, agate, lapis lazuli, jasper, rhodochrosite and yellow jade
- Size: 1.18 inches high
- Doubles as a crystal ball stand or stands alone as a piece
- For altar and home decor, meditation spaces, desks and collections
- More in Altar & Home and Crystals & Stones
How to use it
- Use it as a sphere stand — the mouth of the cauldron cradles a small crystal ball neatly.
- Or give it a job. Ash from an incense stick, a pinch of dried herb, the ring you keep losing — a cauldron with a purpose stays on the altar; an empty one migrates to a drawer.
- Keep it out of direct sun if you choose a colored stone. Some minerals fade with prolonged sunlight.
- Do not burn anything in it. It is a carved stone piece at 1.18 inches, not a fire-safe vessel.
- Dust it dry with a soft cloth rather than washing it.
✨ Temple Tip — give the small things one place
The reason altars go stale is clutter, not neglect. Put one cauldron in the top right corner and let it be the designated home for everything small and undecided. An altar you can actually see is an altar you will actually use.
Questions we get asked
How big is it?
Which stones can I choose from?
Can I use it as a crystal ball stand?
Can I burn incense or herbs inside it?
Will each one look the same?
Small vessel, one job, and the altar breathes again. #TempleOfDesire
