How to use it

Light the tip, let it flame briefly, then blow it out so it smolders. A bundle that keeps flaming is burning through your supply, not cleansing anything.

The instinct with smudging is to keep going until the room "feels" different, which mostly produces a smoke-filled room and a shorter bundle. One deliberate pass — corners, windows, door, threshold — then put it out and open a window. If the room needs more, that is what tomorrow is for.

How is this different from a white sage bundle?
It is a colored bundle built around chakra work and realignment rather than a plain white sage clearing bundle. The burning method is identical.
Do I need a special dish?
Any heat-proof dish will do — a ceramic bowl, an abalone shell, a small cast-iron pan. What matters is that it catches falling embers and that you carry it with you.
Can I use it in an apartment?
Ventilate well and check whether your smoke alarm is close by. If burning is not workable, a cleansing mist does the same job without smoke.
How many times can I use one bundle?
Many, if you extinguish it properly rather than letting it burn out, and store it somewhere dry.
Is it safe around pets?
Not around birds — avian airways are genuinely vulnerable to smoke. For other animals, ventilate and give them another room.
