At a glance
-
Carved azalea pink glass that shifts between orchid, violet, and rose
- Tall oxidized silver finish setting
- Sterling silver band
- Nickel-free and hypoallergenic
- Handcrafted in small batches
How to use it
-
Wear it on a bare hand. A tall setting needs clearance on both sides — a stacked finger flattens it.
-
Take it off for anything with gloves or grip. High settings catch, and that is how stones loosen.
-
Turn it toward daylight if you want the violet — the color shift is strongest in natural light and mostly disappears under warm bulbs.
-
Store it upright rather than loose in a dish where the setting can be knocked.

✨ Temple Tip — the color needs daylight
Azalea pink glass is a color-shifting material — orchid and violet only come out under natural light. Under warm indoor bulbs it settles into a flat rose and looks like a simpler ring than it is. If you are trying it on somewhere with tungsten lighting, take it to a window first.
If you want the same shape at full scale, that is the Oval Colossus Ring in Golden. Both sit in Rings & Earrings.
Questions we get asked
Is the stone glass or gemstone?
It is carved azalea pink glass, not a gemstone. The color shift between orchid, violet, and rose is a property of the glass and the light.
Is the band real silver?
The band is sterling silver; the tall setting carries an oxidized silver finish.
How does it compare to the original Colossus?
Same tall setting and the same silhouette at a smaller scale — it is the version that fits into ordinary days.
Does the setting sit high?
Yes, deliberately so. That is what gives the stone its presence, and also why it is worth removing for anything involving grip or gloves.
Is it hypoallergenic?
Yes — nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
Care & safety: Nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Store flat and away from damp; remove before swimming, showering, sleeping, or applying perfume and hairspray. Plated and oxidized finishes are surface finishes and will soften with wear — that patina is expected rather than a fault. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only; no polishes or dips. Natural stone and vintage glass vary piece to piece. A decorative object — no outcome is promised, and nothing here is medical, legal, or financial advice.
Small enough to wear. Large enough to notice. #TempleOfDesire
