Is it heavy?
Woven mail has real weight at the throat — noticeably more than a chain necklace. Most people register it for the first ten minutes and then stop noticing.
Can I layer it?
We would not. The weave is dense enough that a second necklace disappears into it or catches on it.
How do I store it?
Flat, in its own compartment. Woven mail tangles into itself if hung or bundled, and opal does not want to sit against harder stones.
Is sterling silver safe for sensitive skin?
It is nickel-free and hypoallergenic as supplied by the maker. Sterling silver is generally well tolerated.
