How to Use It
A layering choker is built to sit high on the throat, where it catches light every time you move. Wear it alone against bare skin or an open collar when you want it to carry the whole look, or stack it over a longer chain so the two lengths read as one deliberate arrangement.
Fasten it at the length that lets it rest just above the collarbone without pressing. Put it on last, after perfume and hair, and take it off first at the end of the night.
Choosing Your Finish
| Finish |
Character |
Sits Best With |
| Oxidized silver |
Darkened, smoky and antique in feel — lets the color of the glass lead |
Cool tones, black, denim, everyday layering |
| 18k gold finish |
Warm and lit from within — pushes the glass toward glow |
Warm tones, cream, brown, evening dressing |
✨ Temple Tip
Layering reads best with contrast, not repetition. Let this one sit tight at the throat and hang a single long, plain chain beneath it — the empty space between the two is what makes the glass look intentional rather than crowded.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the stones made of?
They are 1960s dead-stock glass stones — original mid-century glass that was never used, sourced and reassembled into a new piece. No two runs are ever quite identical.
Will it irritate sensitive skin?
The piece is nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
Is this made to order?
Every piece is handcrafted in small batches. Some are kept in the archive and are ready to ship; otherwise your piece is assembled individually for you.
How should I care for it?
We recommend keeping it away from perfume and lotion, wiping it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and storing it flat and dry, away from other pieces that could scratch the glass.
Can I adjust the fit?
Yes. The closure is adjustable across 16–18.5", so it can sit snug at the throat or drop slightly lower.
It layers with anything in Necklaces & Malas, which is rather the point of the design. For a softer, warmer stone palette on the same gold chain, see the Shrimp Pink Layering Choker. The rest of the handmade jewelry is at Spiritual Jewelry.
