Venom-bright green against smoky gold striations. It is the same unbroken line as any tennis necklace and it does not behave like one — the green is too loud, and the tiger eye underneath it is too warm to calm it down.

Genuine tiger eye and poison green glass stones, each faceted with a step cut and set in 1 micron of gold plate. The classic line necklace recast in sharper terms.

At a glance

  • Genuine tiger eye with poison green glass
  • Step-cut faceting on every stone
  • Plated in 1 micron of gold, nickel-free and hypoallergenic
  • Continuous line setting in the classic tennis rhythm
  • Handcrafted in small batches

How to use it

  • Wear it alone. Two colors this saturated do not want company at the same height.
  • Against a plain neckline. Green this bright fights every print it meets.
  • Gold plate is 1 micron thick — treat it as a finish, not as solid metal. Perfume and friction are what remove it.
  • Tiger eye is traditionally associated with protection and steadiness, worn as a tradition of association.
  • Store it flat and separately so nothing harder shares a box with the plating.

Which silhouette sits where

Silhouette Sits at Wear it
Layering Choker 16–18.5″, adjustable As the shortest layer, closest to the throat
Chainmail Choker Choker length Alone — it is already the whole statement
Square Goliath Choker Choker length, single heavy stone Alone, or over a high neckline
Tennis Necklace Collarbone Under a choker, above a long chain
Slink Y-Chain Long, with a drop As the longest layer, over an open neckline
Gem Drop Toggle Long chain, single drop Alone, or as the anchor of a stack
Saber Tooth Necklace Collar to upper chest As the loudest piece in the stack
Obscura Stacking Shards Whisper-thin, layerable Multiplied — built for stacking

✨ Temple Tip — why the green works

Tiger eye is a warm, low-contrast stone — it reads brown at a distance and golden up close. Set alone in a line it goes quiet fast. The green is not decoration; it is what stops the piece from disappearing into skin tone. Remove it and you have a very expensive brown necklace.

The matching collar in the same stones is the Battlement Choker. For what tiger eye is traditionally carried for, see crystals for protection.

Questions we get asked

Is the green stone genuine?
No — the poison green stones are glass. The tiger eye is genuine. The maker is explicit about which is which.
How durable is 1 micron of gold plate?
It is a real but thin layer. Kept away from perfume, sweat, chlorine and abrasion it holds well; worn daily against skin and fabric it will wear at the contact points first.
Will it go with a silver piece?
It can, deliberately — but not at the same height. Keep the mixed metals on different layers or different limbs.
What is a step cut?
Flat parallel facets rather than the many small angles of a brilliant cut. It gives depth and saturated color instead of sparkle.
Can I wear it every day?
You can, but plating wears. If you want one piece for constant wear, the sterling silver tennis necklace in Punk Rocks will age better.

Care & wear: Store dry and away from direct light. Keep away from perfume, hairspray, chlorine and household cleaners — plating and oxidized finishes are surface treatments and will wear with contact. Clean with a soft dry cloth only. Nickel-free and hypoallergenic as supplied by the maker. An adornment and a ritual object — no outcome is promised. Stone and crystal associations described here are traditions of association, not claims of physical or psychological effect, and nothing here is medical advice.

Bright enough to be a warning. #TempleOfDesire

In short

The Tiger Eye & Poison Dart Tennis Necklace is a gold-plated line necklace by mia vesper. Genuine tiger eye is set alongside poison green glass, each stone step-cut and held in a continuous line setting plated in one micron of gold, handcrafted in small batches. It is worn alone against a plain neckline rather than layered, since two colors at this saturation compete at the same height. It costs $1,050 and the setting is nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Tiger eye is traditionally associated with protection and steadiness, worn as such; gold plate at one micron is a finish rather than solid metal and is removed by perfume and friction.
