This one runs the lunar cycle across black fabric with moth and plant motifs worked in. It comes in four sizes, from a 39 × 29 inch panel above a desk to a 90 × 59 inch piece that covers most of a bedroom wall.

How to use it

Hanging it well takes five minutes more than hanging it badly, and the difference shows.

  1. Iron or tumble the tapestry on low before hanging — fold creases are the thing people notice first.
  2. Fix the two top corners first, then the centre, then work outward so the tension stays even.
  3. Use small pins, adhesive hooks or a slim curtain rod through a sewn sleeve, depending on your wall.
  4. Step back after every fixing point rather than at the end.
  5. Machine wash cold when needed, tumble dry low, never bleach or dry clean.

✨ Temple Tip

Hang it slightly higher than feels right — roughly a hand's width above where your eye lands. Tapestries hung at eye level make a ceiling look lower than it is.

Which size should I pick?

For above a desk or bed head, the 100 × 75 cm panel is enough. To cover a wall, choose 200 × 150 cm or 230 × 150 cm and measure the space first.

Is it see-through?

It is a 100% polyester tapestry, so some light passes through when it is backlit. Hung against a wall it reads as solid black.

Can I wash it?

Yes — machine wash and tumble dry low. Do not dry clean and do not bleach.

Can I use it as an altar cloth?

The smallest size works well for that. Keep open flame well away from the fabric.
