Every crystal collection eventually needs a home base — one flat, bright surface where stones go when they are not being carried. That is what this plate is. Ten centimetres of polished Moroccan selenite, translucent enough to glow when a lamp catches it edge-on.

Selenite has been the traditional choice for this job for as long as people have kept crystals, partly because of what it is said to do and partly because it is simply beautiful to look at with a handful of tumbled stones scattered across it.

How to use it

Set the plate somewhere it will not get knocked — a shelf, a nightstand, the corner of an altar — and lay your stones, rings, or mala on it overnight.

It also works simply as a tray: a place for a ring you take off, or a single tumbled stone you are working with that week.

Wipe with a dry cloth only. Never rinse it and never leave it somewhere damp.
