A free form does not argue with the stone. Instead of cutting quartz into a geometry it never had, the lapidary follows what the material was already doing — which is why smoky and clear quartz, banded together in one piece, is such good material for the treatment. Grey smoke on one side, water-clear on the other, and a polished curve carrying the eye between them.
This is an extra-quality polished smoky and clear quartz free-form sculpture from Brazil, in assorted sizes and shapes. Because the shape follows the rough, no two pieces share proportions, banding or the ratio of smoke to clarity. You are choosing the material, and the stone decides the rest.

How to use it
- Give it a surface with room around it. A polished piece this size reads as sculpture — crowding it flattens the effect.
- Put it where light moves. Polished quartz does its best work when daylight or candlelight travels through the body of the stone across the day.
- Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Skip harsh cleaners and abrasive pads on the polished faces.
- Keep it out of direct, prolonged sun if the piece carries warm colour, and set it somewhere it cannot be knocked over.

✨ Temple Tip
Free forms have a best side, and it is rarely the one you unwrap first. Turn the piece slowly under a lamp before you place it — the angle where the smoke and the clear quartz meet at the polished edge is usually the one worth facing outward.
