Caitlin Keegan's bestselling Illuminated Tarot deck, redrawn as black and white line work — over fifty intricate illustrations, one for each card in the 53-card deck, waiting for whatever you bring to them.
It is a coloring book that happens to be a study aid. Each card is printed alongside its traditional meaning and symbolism, with running notes on the history of tarot, cartomancy and playing cards, so the hour you spend filling in a card is also the hour you learn it. Keegan suggests treating the coloring itself as a meditative way of studying the deck, and it works.

How to use it
Work one card at a time and read its meaning before you choose a single colour. The associations you make while deciding what belongs to the Empress or the Tower are the ones that stay with you when the deck is in your hands months later.
Move through the Major Arcana in order if you are learning, or dip in at random if you already read. Both approaches work; the ordered route teaches the narrative arc, the random route teaches recognition.
The pages are sturdy enough for markers, but test any wet medium on an inside edge first. Colored pencil gives the finest control over Keegan's line work, which is where most of the detail lives.

✨ Temple Tip
Colour the card you understand least, first. The cards we skip in a coloring book are almost always the same cards we fumble in a reading — an hour with a pencil is a cheap way to find out which ones those are.
