Family-run business
Here for you with passion and heart.
For the specific thing you can name and have decided is leaving. If you cannot name it in one sentence, this is not the candle you want — and that distinction saves people a great deal of wasted wax.
A hand-poured black seven-day glass candle from Mystic Soul Ritual Shop, dressed with a banishing herbal blend, anointed with Banishing ritual oil, and topped with a genuine labradorite. Banishing is the targeted working in the clearing family: it removes a named thing, which is what separates it from uncrossing, where the condition is general and there is nothing specific to point at.
At a glance
- Black seven-day glass candle, hand-poured and dressed in small batches
- Banishing herbal blend, anointed with Banishing ritual oil
- Topped with a genuine labradorite
- Approximately seven days of continuous burn
- Targeted, not general — for one named thing rather than a diffuse condition
How to use it
- Name the thing first. A habit, a situation, a pattern, an influence you can describe in one sentence. If you cannot, you want uncrossing instead.
- Write the petition and place it beneath the glass. Some practitioners write it and burn it separately — both are traditional; pick one and be consistent.
- Traditionally opened during a waning moon, the releasing half of the cycle, and often on a Saturday.
- Follow it with protection, then with something that builds. Banishing leaves a gap, and a gap left open tends to refill with what was there before.
- Keep the labradorite through the transition period rather than putting it away as soon as the wax is done.

✨ Temple Tip — plan what fills the space before you empty it
The classic banishing mistake is treating the ending as the finish line. Decide in advance what goes in the gap — a habit, a routine, a person you will call more — and write that down alongside the petition. The working that lasts is the one with a replacement already chosen.
Questions we get asked
What is the difference between banishing and uncrossing?
Where does the petition go?
How long does it burn?
What should follow a banishing?
Can I use it on a person?
Care & safety: Burn on a heat-proof surface, within sight, away from drafts and anything flammable, and never unattended or within reach of children and pets. Dressed candles carry loose botanicals on the wax that will catch as the melt pool reaches them. A ritual tool — no outcome is promised, and nothing here is medical, legal, or financial advice. Traditionally worked for release and endings — not a substitute for therapy, legal advice, or the practical steps that ending something usually requires. If you are leaving an unsafe situation, please get real-world support alongside any working.
Banishing is often the wrong first move — which comes first and why, and when it is the wrong tool entirely. More seven-day glass in 7-Day & Vigil Candles.
