For the evenings when the day has been too much and the only sensible response is hot water and a closed door. This is a bath with a name that says out loud what most bath products only imply.

Handmade by Mystic Soul Ritual Shop with mineral-rich Dead Sea and Epsom salt, dried lavender, chamomile and jasmine, and a soft floral oil blend. Five ounces, no ceremony required — though there is a ritual here if you want one, and a muslin bag if you do not want to clean the tub afterward.

At a glance

  • 5 oz handmade ritual bath soak
  • Dead Sea salt and Epsom salt — the mineral base of the blend
  • Infused with lavender, chamomile, and jasmine
  • Lavender, jasmine and chamomile oil blend for the scent
  • Works without a bathtub — usable as a shower scrub or in a muslin bag under the showerhead

How to use it

  • Pour it into warm running water and let the herbs and oils infuse before you get in.
  • Slow the breathing once you settle. Long exhale, longer than the inhale. That is the whole technique.
  • Use a drain strainer or a muslin pouch — put the botanicals in the bag before they go in the water and cleanup is a non-event.
  • No tub? Use it as a shower scrub, or hang a muslin bag of it beneath the showerhead.
  • Say something if it helps. "I release what I cannot control" is the maker's suggestion; anything you would actually say works better.

What is in the blend

Ingredient Traditional association
Dead Sea salt & Epsom salt The mineral base — long used for soaking and as a grounding element in bath ritual
Lavender A timeless herb of peace, protection, restful sleep, and emotional balance
Chamomile Calm, comfort, and inner peace
Jasmine Softening tension; joy, hope, and tranquility
Lavender, jasmine & chamomile oil blend The aromatic layer, blended to quiet the senses

✨ Temple Tip — bag the botanicals before they go in, not after

The single thing that stops a herbal bath from becoming an occasional treat is the ten minutes of picking chamomile out of the drain. Put the blend in a muslin pouch or a reusable tea bag first. It steeps exactly the same and you will actually run the bath again next week.

Questions we get asked

How much should I use per bath?
The jar holds 5 oz. Most people use a generous handful per bath, which gives several baths from one jar — adjust to how strong you like the scent and the water.
Can I use it without a bathtub?
Yes. It works as a shower scrub, or place it in a muslin bag beneath the showerhead for the aromatic version.
Will it clog my drain?
It can if the botanicals go in loose. Use a drain strainer, or put the blend in a muslin pouch or reusable tea bag before it goes into the water.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
It contains salts, botanicals, and an essential oil blend. Patch-test first if your skin reacts easily, and rinse off after soaking.
Why is there a Proposition 65 note?
Because the blend contains agricultural products. Under California law we are required to tell you that it may expose you to certain naturally occurring chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Care & safety: For external use only. Do not ingest. Patch-test if you have sensitive skin, rinse after soaking, and take care — salts and oils make a tub slippery. Keep away from children and pets. Proposition 65 warning: because this item contains agricultural products, it may expose you to certain naturally occurring chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Not a treatment for any medical or psychological condition.

If you are building a wider bath practice, the rest of the Spell Kits & Ritual Bath shelf sits beside this one. For the sequence itself — what to do before you get in, and what to do with the water afterwards — read Spiritual Bath for Cleansing and Protection. And if you are wondering whether the salt in your kitchen would do the same job: Which Salt to Use in Witchcraft answers that plainly.

Hot water, a closed door, and nowhere else to be. #TempleOfDesire

In short

Calm the F Down Ritual Bath Soak is a 5 oz handmade bath soak from Mystic Soul Ritual Shop. It is made with Dead Sea and Epsom salt, dried lavender, chamomile, and jasmine, plus a lavender, jasmine, and chamomile oil blend. It is used as an evening unwinding ritual, poured into warm running water, or as a shower scrub or in a muslin bag under the showerhead where there is no tub. The soak costs $15 for 5 oz. The botanicals are loose, so a drain strainer or muslin pouch is needed for cleanup, and the herbs listed carry traditional associations only.
