How to use it
Fill each bottle with lamp oil to just below the shoulder and let the wicks soak for a few minutes before the first lighting. Light all three together for building routines, restoring balance, and reaffirming trust in a slow process, or work with one at a time and let the other two wait — a set does not have to be used as a set. Snuff them rather than blowing them out.
An oil candle does not use itself up the way wax does. The cotton wick draws fuel rather than burning away with it, so there is no tunneling, no wax left in the bottom, and no wick to trim. When the level drops, you top it up and the same bottle carries on.
Burn on a level, heat-proof surface, away from drafts and anything that can catch. Never leave a lit flame unattended, never move the bottle while it is hot, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
✨ Temple Tip
Refill before a bottle runs dry, not after. A wick left to burn down into an empty bottle chars, and you go on smelling a charred wick in the room long after the flame is out. With three candles it is worth checking all of them when you top up the first — they rarely empty at the same rate.
Questions we get asked
Do I have to light all three at once?
No. They are built as a set and read well together on an altar, but each is a complete candle. Most people find one of the three does most of the work in a given month.
Are they really refillable?
Yes — all three take standard liquid lamp oil. The cotton wicks are not consumed by the flame, so the bottles are meant to be topped up rather than replaced.
Does the size apply to all three candles?
Yes. Choosing 6 oz gives you three 6 oz bottles, not one. LOGOS estimates roughly 10–15 hours per 3 oz candle, 20–25 for a 6 oz and 35–40 for a 12 oz.
Can I buy the candles separately?
Several of them exist as single bottles in our oil candle range. The set is the cheaper route if you want more than one; a single is the better route if you know exactly which flame you want.
Is it suitable as a gift?
It is one of the easier things in the shop to give. The bottles are decorative unlit, the grouping explains itself, and nothing about it needs prior practice to enjoy.
