How to use it
- Stand the bottle on a level, heatproof surface, clear of drafts and of anything that overhangs it.
- Check that the wick is drawing — it should be damp with oil to the tip. A dry wick will char instead of burn.
- Light it when you sit down to read, reflect or decide. Say what it is for, even silently; that sentence is the ritual.
- Let it burn while you do the thing, not instead of doing it. Light all three together for a full reading, or one at a time for the question you actually have.
- Snuff it rather than blowing it out, and leave it to cool completely before you move it or refill it.

✨ Temple Tip
Refill it before it runs dry, not after. A wick that has burned down to nothing left to draw will scorch, and a scorched wick never quite lights cleanly again — you will taste it in the room. Top the oil up while there is still a finger's width in the bottom and the same wick will outlast the bottle. And keep the dried botanicals below the oil line: they are there to be looked at, not burned.
Questions people ask
What does the Oracle Trio candle actually smell like?
Egyptian Amber, Black Amber Fig and Lemon Verbena. It is an oil candle, so the scent is gentler than a wax candle of the same size — it scents the corner you are sitting in rather than the whole floor. Expect it to build over the first fifteen minutes or so.
When would I light this one?
For divination, journaling, study and asking for guidance — in practice, when you sit down to read, reflect or decide. There is no wrong hour for it; the point is that lighting it is a deliberate act, which is most of what a ritual candle is for.
How is an oil candle different from a wax candle?
Nothing is consumed except the fuel. The wick is cotton and it is not eaten by the flame, so it does not need trimming the way a wax wick does, and there is no tunneling, no wax pooling and no wasted stub at the bottom. When the oil runs low you top it up and the same bottle carries on.
How long does one filling burn, and which size should I pick?
LOGOS gives approximately 10–12 hours for the 3 oz, 18–22 hours for the 6 oz and 35–40 hours for the 12 oz. The 3 oz suits a bedside or a desk and a short sitting; the 6 oz is the everyday altar size; the 12 oz is for a mantel or a long working where you do not want to think about refilling.
Is it safe to burn indoors?
It runs on clean bio fuel and burns soot-free, which is why it is sold as an indoor candle. Treat it like any open flame all the same: level heatproof surface, away from drafts, curtains and anything overhanging, never left unattended, never moved while lit or still hot, and out of reach of children and pets.
California Proposition 65 warning: Burning this product produces combustion by-products. Use in a well-ventilated space.
