At a glance
-
4-inch bundle of organic white sage with rainbow rose petals
- Rose petals in the seven chakra colors
-
Rose is traditionally associated with love, peace, and beauty
-
Aromatic, sharp, and stimulating when burned
-
Reusable across many sessions when extinguished properly and stored dry
How to use it
-
Light the end with the fewest stems — not the leafy end — let it flame, then blow it out so it smolders.
-
Hold it over a heat-proof dish the whole time. An abalone or lion's paw shell is traditional; any ceramic bowl works.
-
Waft the smoke through the space, using a feather if you have one, or set the bundle down on the dish and let it work.
-
To cleanse stones and jewelry, hold them steadily in the smoke until it flows in a straight stream upward after circling the piece.
-
Extinguish it completely by pressing the lit end into the dish, then store it dry. One bundle lasts many sessions.

✨ Temple Tip — clear first, then invite
Sage empties a room; rose is what you put back in. If you only ever burn clearing herbs you end up with a space that feels blank rather than warm. Do the corners with the sage end of the ritual, then stand still in the middle for a minute while the rose comes through. That minute is the whole reason to buy a blended bundle.
Questions we get asked
How big is the bundle?
Approximately 4 inches.
What are the rainbow rose petals for?
They are colored to correspond to the seven chakras, and rose is traditionally associated with love, peace, and beauty.
Is this a Native American ceremony?
No. Burning a herb for cleansing is practiced in nearly every culture; performing a named ceremony belonging to a nation you have no relationship with is a different matter, and we do not teach or claim one.
Which end do I light?
The end with the fewest stems.
Is it safe around pets or asthma?
We would not burn it around birds, asthma, or small children. Smoke is a respiratory irritant.
Care & safety: Never leave a smoldering bundle unattended, and make sure it is completely out before you leave the area. Burn over a heat-proof dish and carry the dish with you. Keep out of reach of children and animals and away from anything flammable. Ventilate during and after — smoke is a respiratory irritant regardless of what is burning, and it is not suitable around asthma, small children, or birds. A ritual tool, not a medical or healthcare product; no health claim is made. We recommend consulting a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
