How to use it
What you will need: a Forest Fairy candle, Native Spirit oil, a fireproof dish or tray, matches or a lighter, elderberries, honeysuckle, thyme, a petition paper — and, if you wish, small offerings for the fairies such as honey, cream, flowers or something shiny.
Cleanse your space and center yourself. Write your intention on the petition paper and place it under the fireproof dish.
Dress the candle with Native Spirit oil, set it on the tray and sprinkle the elderberries, honeysuckle and thyme around the base. Place your offerings nearby if you are making any.
Light the candle and speak your intention aloud, with respect rather than command — the fae are traditionally approached as guests, not as staff. Visualize yourself walking in an enchanted forest with fairy lights moving around you.
Let the candle burn down completely while it is safe to do so, or snuff and relight it daily. When the work is done, dispose of the remains respectfully with the words “This spell is complete.”

The offerings are optional in the instructions but they are the part experienced practitioners rarely skip. Honey, cream or a single flower left out overnight is the traditional courtesy — and it costs you nothing to be polite to the fae.

Which color should I choose?
Match the color to the intention rather than to the candle. The table above lists what each of the ten colors is traditionally worked for; if you are unsure, white is the all-purpose choice.
Do I have to burn it in one sitting?
No. Burn it as long as it is safe to do so, then snuff it and relight it the next day, focusing on your intention each time you light it, until the candle is finished.
Does it come with oil and herbs?
No — this is the candle on its own. The oils and botanicals named in the ritual above are sold separately in our Ritual Oils & Sprays and Sacred Smoke & Cleansing collections.
Is there anything I should know about burning the candles?
Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from anything flammable, and burn it on a heat-safe surface out of reach of children and pets. The candles are 100% pure beeswax with lead-free cotton wicks and no added fragrance.
