How to use it
Scrying rewards low light and long patience. Nothing about it is fast.
- Work in a dim room with a single candle or lamp set to the side, never reflecting directly into the glass.
- Set the mirror on its stand at a slight angle so you are not looking at your own face.
- Soften your gaze at the surface rather than staring hard, and let your eyes lose focus.
- Give it fifteen minutes before you judge the session. Most of the first ten is your eyes adjusting.
- Write down what you noticed immediately afterwards, before you start explaining it to yourself.
✨ Temple Tip
Position one candle behind your own shoulder, not in front of you. A flame reflected in the obsidian will hold your eye for the whole session and you will see nothing else.

What is a scrying mirror used for?
Scrying is the practice of gazing into a reflective surface for visions or insight. Obsidian, other crystals, glass, water, fire and smoke have all been used for it.
Which size should I choose?
80 mm (3.1 in) is the common working size. 40–60 mm (1.6–2.4 in) travels well; 100–120 mm (3.9–4.7 in) makes a substantial fixed altar piece.
Does it come with a stand?

How do I clean it?
A dry microfiber cloth. Obsidian is volcanic glass — keep it away from grit, which scratches the polish, and from hard knocks, which chip the edge.
