The skull turns up as a symbol of wisdom, memory and the ancestral dead across a striking number of unconnected traditions — Mexican Día de los Muertos, Celtic sacred skulls, Tibetan Kapalika practice, the Norse Mímisbrunnr, African ancestor veneration, Shiva's garland in Hindu iconography.
This candle is a tall beeswax taper molded as a stacked column of skulls, and it is designed to be worked over eight days rather than in one sitting: one knob per day, eight days, the intention restated each time. That slowness is the point. It is the format practitioners use for ancestor work and for spells addressed to the mind — your own or someone else's.
The kit contains the taper in your chosen color, three herbs selected for this type of work, a dressing oil and a printed instruction sheet. The candle stands 11" tall in solid beeswax on a lead-free cotton wick. You will need a taper holder; the photographs show a brass one, which is not included.

What this kit is for
| Ancestral connection | Honoring the dead, asking for guidance, keeping a named ancestor present across eight consecutive days. |
| Mind & memory | Focusing your own thoughts, or working to influence someone else's thinking or actions. |
| Transformation | Releasing a mental block or a belief you have outgrown, one day at a time. |
How to use it
- Choose the color that matches your intention, not the card. The table below is the working key.
- Name the work. Say plainly what the spell is for, in one sentence, before you touch the candle.
- Dress the candle with the oil, then the herbs, following the printed instruction sheet in the box.
- Set it on a heatproof surface — a plate or holder, which is not included — clear of anything that can catch.
- Burn it one knob a day across eight days, snuffing rather than blowing it out if you intend to relight. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

✨ Temple Tip
The eight-day structure is what makes this candle work, and it is also where most people abandon it. Light it at the same time each day, burn down exactly one knob, snuff it — never blow it out — and restate the intention aloud before you go. If you miss a day, practitioners generally restart rather than patch the sequence.

Questions people ask
How is this candle meant to be burned?
One knob per day across eight consecutive days, restating your intention each time you light it. Snuff it rather than blowing it out when the knob is done, and never leave it burning unattended.
What is in the kit?
The 11" beeswax skull taper in the color you choose, three herbs selected for this type of work, one dressing oil, and a printed instruction sheet. A taper holder is not included.
Can I use it for ancestor work rather than influence work?
Yes — the maker offers both as intended uses. Brown is the color they associate with honoring ancestors, white with ancestral blessing and cleansing. Many practitioners simply set it on the altar where they already keep photographs or offerings.
What if I miss a day?
There is no rule in the box, but the eight-day sequence is the mechanism here rather than a suggestion. Practitioners who take the format seriously restart from the beginning rather than resuming mid-way.
Is the candle scented?
No. 100% pure beeswax, fragrance-free, lead-free cotton wick. Beeswax has its own faint honey note and nothing is added to it.
