How to use it
Whisk the blend with warm water until the surface is even and no powder is clinging to the bottom. A bamboo whisk or an electric frother both work; a spoon will get you most of the way but leaves a little grit.

If your latte tastes flat, it is almost always the water temperature. Matcha wants warm water, not boiling — give the kettle a minute or two off the boil and the sweetness comes back on its own.
Questions we get asked
How is this different from the flavoured blends?
Original is the unflavoured version: sweetened, but with nothing between you and the matcha. The strawberry, vanilla and mango blends add a fruit or vanilla note on top of the same base.
Where does the matcha come from?
Uji, Japan, where it is sustainably grown and harvested. Morning Made state that it is certified organic and pesticide free.
Do I need a bamboo whisk?
It helps, but it is not required. An electric frother works just as well, and even a small hand whisk will get the powder dispersed. What matters is that no dry matcha is left sitting on the bottom.
Is it dairy-free?
The blend itself is listed as organic, vegan-friendly, gluten-free and dairy-free. What you top it with is up to you.
Hot or iced — which is better?
