Use it to open, not to close. Rose leads the blend, so this suits the beginning of a session better than the end of one.

The thirty-stick boxes are thick-rolled and produce far more smoke than the slim sticks most people are used to. Burning a full hour in a small room is generally too much. Light it, give it fifteen to twenty minutes, snuff it in sand, and relight the same stick tomorrow — the box lasts months that way.

Do I need a special holder?
A heat-proof holder that catches ash and holds a thick stick steady. These are thicker than standard sticks, so a narrow holder may not fit.
