How to use it
-
Light it before people arrive, not while they are there. Ten minutes ahead and the room smells lived-in rather than staged.
-
Heat-proof holder on a stable surface, in a ventilated room.
-
Keep it out of the kitchen. Rose and cooking smells fight and neither wins.
-
Fifteen to twenty minutes scents a room properly. Extinguish in sand and save the rest of the stick.
-
One scent per evening. Rose does not need a candle competing with it.

✨ Temple Tip — burn it before the guests, not for them
Incense lit while people are in the room reads as covering something up. Lit twenty minutes earlier and extinguished before the door goes, it reads as a room that simply smells like this. Same stick, entirely different impression — the timing is the whole trick.
Questions we get asked
Is it very floral?
Rose-forward, but the sandalwood grounds it. It is warm and soft rather than sharp or sweet.
Do I have to burn it on a Friday?
No. Friday is the traditional association for Venus, not a requirement.
How long does one stick last?
About 60 minutes of continuous burn, and it is designed to be extinguished and relit.
Can I put one out and relight it?
Yes — that is how the maker intends them to be used. Press the lit end gently into sand or a heat-proof dish, let it cool, and relight when you next sit down.
Can I return it?
No. Incense is a consumable and this item is non-returnable. If something arrives damaged, write to us and we will make it right.
Burn safely: Always burn in a heat-proof holder on a stable, non-flammable surface, in a well-ventilated room. Never leave a burning stick, bomb or disk unattended. Keep away from children, pets, curtains and anything that catches. Smoke-cleansing products give off a lot of smoke — start away from smoke detectors. Store dry and out of direct sun. A ritual object, not a remedy: traditional associations described here are traditions of association, not claims of physical or psychological effect, and nothing here is medical advice.
Friday softens. Let the room follow. #TempleOfDesire
