How to use it

  • Carry a heat-proof dish under it the whole way round. Embers fall, and they fall while you are walking.
  • Light it, let it flame, blow it out. You want a steady smolder, not a flame.
  • Start at the far corner of the home and work toward the front door, finishing with the door itself.
  • Open a window in each room as you go. Smoke needs somewhere to leave.
  • Extinguish by pressing the lit end into sand — never water, which ruins the bundle for good.

How long does one bundle last?
Up to two hours of burn time, and it does not have to be used in one session — extinguish in sand and relight later.
Palo santo or rosemary — which one?
Palo santo is sweeter, more resinous and carries further; rosemary is greener and sharper and sits more lightly in a small room. The two-box option lets you try both.
How do I put it out?
Press the lit end into sand or a heat-proof dish until it stops smoldering. Never water — a wet bundle will not relight properly.
Is it very smoky?
Yes. Smoke cleansing produces a lot of smoke by design. Ventilate and start away from smoke detectors.
Can I return it?
No. Incense is a consumable and this item is non-returnable. If something arrives damaged, write to us and we will make it right.
