Carved from small, naturally occurring angelite rocks from the Andes — a pale blue stone with a chalky, matte surface unlike the polished quartz most people know. Each dish keeps the irregular outline of the rock it came from.

Angelite is traditionally associated with calm and with communication. Practically, it is a small dish beside the bed for rings and earrings, which is exactly where an object like this earns its keep.

At a glance

  • Hand-carved from natural Andean angelite
  • Organic outline — follows the original rock
  • Pale blue, matte, chalky surface
  • For rings, earrings and small objects
  • Every dish is a different shape and tone

How to use it

Put it where you take your jewelry off. Angelite is soft as stones go, so keep it away from edges where it could fall.

Dust with a dry cloth. Do not wash — angelite is soft and water-sensitive, and prolonged wetting damages the surface.

✨ Temple Tip

Angelite is one of the few stones that should never be cleansed in water. Its softness and structure do not tolerate it. Smoke, sound or a night on a windowsill do the job without risk.

Questions we get asked

Can angelite get wet?

No. It is soft and water-sensitive. Keep it dry and cleanse it with smoke or sound instead.

Is every dish the same shape?

No — each follows the natural outline of the rock it was carved from.

What is it used for?

A catchall for rings, earrings and small objects, or as a stone on an altar.

Is it fragile?

Softer than quartz. Handle it as you would a piece of chalk-textured stone.

A piece of the Andes with a job to do. #TempleOfDesire

In short

The Blue Angelite Catchall is a hand-carved dish made from naturally occurring angelite rocks from the Andes. Each dish keeps the irregular outline of the rock it came from, with a pale blue, matte, chalky surface rather than a polished one. It is used as a catchall for rings, earrings and small objects, or kept as a stone on an altar. It costs $68.95. Angelite is softer than quartz and water-sensitive, so the dish is dusted dry rather than washed, and no two pieces share the same shape or tone.
