It is geometry rather than image — planes set against each other so that the light does the composing. What you see at nine in the morning is not what you see at six in the evening.

How to use it

Hang it where light arrives from one side. A relief lit flat from the front loses everything that makes it worth having.

Dust with a soft dry brush along the grain. Keep it out of damp and away from direct sustained sun.
