How to use it

Hold it flat and tilt slowly — a few degrees at a time. The temptation is to swing it, which produces noise; the sea sound lives in the slowest movement you can make and still keep the balls travelling.

Switch heads for a different texture. The natural goat skin gives a warmer, softer wash; the synthetic head is brighter and more defined. In a longer session, turning the drum over is an easy way to change the scene.
