In short
The Calendario Azteca Tapestry is a large handwoven cotton wall piece from Caralarga's Recovered Collection, made from cotton thread remnants left over from textile production and then sorted, stored and rewoven by hand. The Aztec calendar is a formal reference rather than a reproduction; what hangs is a woven field of raw undyed cotton whose density shifts with the light. It is hung as a single wall work with side lighting and viewed from a distance. It costs $2,677.95. Each piece is assembled from whatever material was available, so density and tone differ from the photograph, and undyed cotton yellows in direct sun over years.
