The first light of rebellion, the mirror that cannot lie. The Lilith oil candle is built around power reclaimed, shadow met without apology — a refillable glass lamp with dried botanicals suspended in clean bio fuel, made to be lit on purpose rather than left burning as decoration.

It is scented with Black Lavender. Because the flame sits above the oil rather than inside a block of wax, the scent stays soft and steady instead of arriving all at once, and the bottle keeps its shape from the first burn to the hundredth. LOGOS makes it to be refilled, not replaced — the reason to buy one is that you keep it.

At a glance

  • Scent: Black Lavender (LOGOS’s spec line instead reads “Rose Garden, Oakmoss and Amber”; the description and the product photography both point to Black Lavender, so that is what we list.)
  • Sizes: 3 oz, 6 oz or 12 oz refillable glass oil candle
  • Fuel: clean bio fuel, soot-free and rated for indoor use
  • Wick: cotton, self-sustaining — no trimming, no tunneling, no wax waste
  • Made for: rituals of empowerment, shadow work and sensual reclamation
  • Refillable: top up with lamp oil and keep the same bottle
  • Ships within 3 business days

How to use it

  1. Stand the bottle on a level, heatproof surface, clear of drafts and of anything that overhangs it.
  2. Check that the wick is drawing — it should be damp with oil to the tip. A dry wick will char instead of burn.
  3. Light it when you are unpicking an old story about yourself, or finding the words you swallowed. Say what it is for, even silently; that sentence is the ritual.
  4. Let it burn while you do the thing, not instead of doing it. A short deliberate burn beats an all-day one.
  5. Snuff it rather than blowing it out, and leave it to cool completely before you move it or refill it.

Which size fits your practice

Size Burn time per filling Best for
3 oz approx. 10–12 hours Bedside, desk or a single sitting; the size to try the scent on
6 oz approx. 18–22 hours The everyday altar size — a regular practice without constant refilling
12 oz approx. 35–40 hours Mantel or shared space, and long workings you do not want to interrupt

Burn times are LOGOS’s own figures and vary with draft and how long you burn it at a stretch.

✨ Temple Tip

Refill it before it runs dry, not after. A wick that has burned down to nothing left to draw will scorch, and a scorched wick never quite lights cleanly again — you will taste it in the room. Top the oil up while there is still a finger's width in the bottom and the same wick will outlast the bottle. And keep the dried botanicals below the oil line: they are there to be looked at, not burned.

Questions people ask

What does the Lilith candle actually smell like?

Black Lavender. LOGOS describes it that way in the product copy, and the botanicals in the bottle match. Their spec line lists “Rose Garden, Oakmoss and Amber” instead — the two do not agree, so we have gone with the description and the photography rather than quietly picking one. If the exact note matters to you, ask us before you order.

When would I light this one?

For rituals of empowerment, shadow work and sensual reclamation — in practice, when you are unpicking an old story about yourself, or finding the words you swallowed. There is no wrong hour for it; the point is that lighting it is a deliberate act, which is most of what a ritual candle is for.

How is an oil candle different from a wax candle?

Nothing is consumed except the fuel. The wick is cotton and it is not eaten by the flame, so it does not need trimming the way a wax wick does, and there is no tunneling, no wax pooling and no wasted stub at the bottom. When the oil runs low you top it up and the same bottle carries on.

How long does one filling burn, and which size should I pick?

LOGOS gives approximately 10–12 hours for the 3 oz, 18–22 hours for the 6 oz and 35–40 hours for the 12 oz. The 3 oz suits a bedside or a desk and a short sitting; the 6 oz is the everyday altar size; the 12 oz is for a mantel or a long working where you do not want to think about refilling.

Is it safe to burn indoors?

It runs on clean bio fuel and burns soot-free, which is why it is sold as an indoor candle. Treat it like any open flame all the same: level heatproof surface, away from drafts, curtains and anything overhanging, never left unattended, never moved while lit or still hot, and out of reach of children and pets.

California Proposition 65 warning: Burning this product produces combustion by-products. Use in a well-ventilated space.

To go further

Lit with intention, kept and refilled rather than used up — this is an altar candle meant to stay with you. #TempleOfDesire
