How to use it

Keep it somewhere it catches light directly. Pyrite has no translucency to play with — its whole appeal is reflection, so it wants a lamp or a window, not a shadowed shelf.

The weight makes it a good hand object: cool, solid, and slow to warm up.

Keep it dry. Pyrite is an iron sulphide and will tarnish or develop rust spots in damp air. Store it away from bathrooms and never rinse it.
