How is uncrossing different from banishing?
Uncrossing clears a general stuck or crossed condition. Banishing removes one specific named thing. If you can say what it is in a sentence, you want banishing; if you cannot, you want this.
Do I clear the room before or after lighting it?
Before. A mist or smoke first, then the candle. Clearing after the burn reverses the order the working depends on.
What comes next?
Protection if the situation calls for it, then setting or drawing work. Leaving an uncrossing unfollowed leaves you with an empty room and nothing in it.
How long does it burn?

What is the shungite for?
It is included as part of the dressing and is yours to keep once the wax is spent. In contemporary crystal practice it is associated with clearing — a tradition of association rather than a claim of effect.
