In short
The White Marble Platter is a solid white marble serving board with grey veining, made by Fleck. It is cut from natural stone, so the veining runs differently through every piece, and the slab is heavy enough to stay flat and in place. The naturally cool surface is used for cheese, bread, fruit and sweets, and it also serves as an altar surface. It costs $138.95. Acid etches marble permanently, so lemon, vinegar and wine are better kept in a separate ramekin, and the platter is hand wash only — not dishwasher-safe and not intended as a cutting board.
